2007
August

  •  Layout for WADI-phase-II leading to 614 layouts in total.
  • 102 Pit digging done in this month lading to 515 pits digging in total.
  • Door to door continue in both the cluster for WADI.
  • Intercrop seed distribution completed in Phase-II WADI
  • Fertilizer distribution completed in all 15 village of both the cluster.
  • Forestry sapling distributed continuing   in three village of Bisra cluster.
  • Required number of Horticulture plant distributed in Kapatmunda, Pograbahal, Jamsera ,Jabaghat village of Bisra Cluster and Dumerjhore, Bankibahal, Ushra, Loadsara, Baniguni village of Kuarmunda Cluster.
June-July
  • Layout for WADI-phase-II  leading to 614 layouts in total.
  • 251 Pit digging done in this month .
  • Watershed development work continue  at Dalposh village of Bisra cluster.
  • Training given to 20 farmer from kuarmunda cluster on Mushroom Cultivation at IPD and Dumerjhore  
  • Door to door camping continue in both the cluster for WADI. 
  • LTPH demonstration completed in four SHG in both the cluster.
  • Three  VLO formed at both the cluster
May
  • Two filed day for farmer organized at IPD Campus Demo plot and two in Kuarmunda cluster
  • Watershed work stated at Dalposh village of Bisra cluster

April

  • Layout for WADI-phase-II started with 02 layouts in this week leading to 478 layouts in total.
  • 29 Pit digging done in this week lading to 82 pits digging in total
  • Two days Workshop on Peoples’ Organization (VLO) held at IPD.
  • One cow at Ushra and one at Jaidega and Dumerjhor  has given birth three calves.all cows were inseminated by our AI Technician.
  • Healths check up of cows, goats and poultries by Dr. Manoj Srivastab from Ranchi.
  • Indent placed for Improved Agriculture for both clusters.


March

 

  • Layout for WADI-phase-II started with 16 layouts in this week leading to 419 layouts in total.
  • Poultry distribution at completed in both the cluster and Vaccination started in  Bishra Cluster .
  •  450 nos. of Chula have already been installed in four villages of Kuarmunda cluster.
  • Eye cataract screening completed in Bisra cluster.

 

February

 

  • Two field days for farmers organized at Jabaghat & Dumerjhore village of Bisra & Kuarmunda cluster with 60 & 75 farmers including old WADI holder, some new WADI holder and SHGs member. Two WADI fields have been visited by all participant as on 23rd January 07 & 3rdFebruary 07 respectively.

  • Improved Poultry breed distributed among 35 beneficiaries of Bisra cluster 25 chicks each beneficiary. 

  • Goatery distribution completed in  Jabapanposh, Jamsera, Jabaghat  villages of Bisra cluster
  • Nursery bed preparation completed in Radhakrishan SHG Jabaghat village and Shanti SHG of Laing R.S Colony Kaberi SHG of Bankibahal village as Income generation activity.

 

January

 

  • Layout for WADI-phase-II started with 45 layouts in this month leading to 318 layouts in total.
  • Four women Self-Help Group formed at Dalposh,Jamsera,Kapatmunda of Bisra cluster and Jaidega in   Kuarmunda Cluster
  • Given training on Poultry management to 45 nos. of  beneficiary at Regional Poultry farm, Sundergarh
  • One field day for farmers organized at Jabaghat village of Bisra cluster with 60 farmers including old WADI  holder, some new WADI holder and SHGs member. Two WADI fields has been visited by all participant.
  • Improve Poultry breed distributed among 40 beneficiary of kuarmunda cluster 25 chicks each benificiary

 


2006
December

 

  • Layout for WADI-phase-II given in 205 plots as on 7th  December 06

 November

  Layout for WADI-phase-II given in 159 plots as on 20th  November 06

  • 25 cases of AI done as on 3rd November 06

 

October

 

  • Till 31st October'06 809 farmers have expressed there interest and enroll themselves for WADI-Phase-II
  • WADI-phase-II started with 36 layouts done  in this month.
  • Six AI done in this month. 
  • Pregnancy Diagnosis test (PD) done in four cases out of which three are success.

 

August-September

1.    One vaccination cum health camp for livestock organized at Baniguni village of Kuarmunda cluster in which, the following nos. of livestock benefited:

 

    • 100 nos. of cow and Bullock, 50 nos. of calf, was vaccinated.
    • 343 nos. of animal (Cow, Bullock, Goat) de-wormed
    • 4 animals treated for different diseases and supplied medicines

 
2.  One women Self Help Group (SHG) named as “Kaberi” at Bankibahal of Kuarmunda cluster was formed.

3.       1750 nos. of Teak sapling and equal nos. of Sisam sapling provided and planted across the fence of WADI belong to 45 farmers of Kuarmunda cluster.

4.      In first vaccination camp at Kapatmunda village following nos. of animal benefited

  • 141 nos. of Cow and Bullock, 6 nos. of calf was vaccinated.
  • 36 nos. of animal (Goat and Pig) de-wormed
  • 5 animals treated for different diseases and supplied medicines

5.  In second vaccination camp at Pograbahal village following nos. of animal benefited

  • 120 nos. of Cow and Bullock, 8 nos. of calf was vaccinated.
  • 256 nos. of animal (Goat, Pig and Hen) de-wormed.


May - July


1. A SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENTAL APPROACH BY RSP (Click Here)

2. ENTRY POINT ACTIVITY (A brief Summary)

    • Village Entry Point Activity (EPA) to build up the confidence of villagers in participation mode of development. 51 EPAs completed as follows:

 

  1. Roof repairing of Agwanwadi center, school and youth club - 3 Nos.
  2. Floor repairing of Agwanwadi center and youth club - 3 Nos.
  3. Installation of door, window and gate of Agwanwadi center - 3 Nos.
  4. Platform, drain and soak pit construction for tube well - 23 Nos.
  5. Soak pit construction for tub well - 8 Nos.
  6. Drain and soak pit construction for tub well - 6 Nos.
  7. Platform, drain construction for tube well - 1 No.
  8. Increase in parapet height for dug well - 5 Nos.
  9. Community Puja Mandap - 1 No.

3. AGRI-HORTI-FORESTRY (Current Achievements)

  40 soil samples tested from the project area.

  • 89 farmers became the beneficiary of the WADI intervention and completed pit digging as per the specification.
       
  • Pit filling in 89 WADIs done with 1 kg Neem cake, 1 kg Bone meal, 600 gm Shyamala (15:15:15-NPK) and 10 gm Phorate per pit with 5 kg FYM per pit as farmers contribution. All the WADI holders completed their pit filling with following inputs:

 

  1. Neem Cake-3150 kg
  2. Shyamala-1900 kg
  3. Bonemeal-3200 kg
  4. Phorate-32 kg
     
  • Plantation done in 89 WADIs with following species and varieties of horticulture saplings: 
  1. Mango:1915
  2. Cashew:325
  3. Litchi:540    
  4. Lemon:673

 

4. COMMUNITY LEVEL ACTIVITIES UPDATE:

     
    • Bio-Fertilizer demonstration has taken up with 34 farmers.
    • SMART Model demonstration has taken up with 5 farmers.
    • Intercropping has been taken up with 89 farmers.
    • AI centre inaugurated by Sj. B.N. Singh (M.D.- RSP) on 15th June 06.
    • 15 cases of A.I. have done out of which 13 cases are successful.
    • Five women SHG and one mix group has formed and started saving.

January - April

  • The team of Implementing Agency along with IPD staff had a exposure visit to Maharashtra and Gujrat to experience the field activity of BAIF.
  • The core Implementing Team had a 6 days training at BAIF Head Office, Pune.
  • The second quaterly review meeting and the first Cordinating Committee meeting were held on 9th February 2006.
  • The Entry Point Activity has been started in the Bisra Block.
  • The second phase Baseline Survey completed during February 2006.

 


 


2005

  • Signing of MOU between RSP-Rourkela and BAIF was held on 4th Aug 2005, at 10:30 a.m. in presence of Dr. Sanak Mishra, MD, RSP, Rourkela, for Integrated Development of Tribal Communities (IDTC) in Periphery Of RSP, Rourkela, Orissa. The MOU was executed by Dr. N. Hegde, President, BAIF and Shri D. Deb, AGM, Peripherial Development, RSP, Rourkela.
  • BAIF signed MOU with READ Foundation on 4th Aug 2005 at 3:30 p.m. at Panthanivas, Rourkela as local partner.
  • The implementing team of READ Foundation started the work on 7th Aug and so far induction training and livelihood management training programme has been completed.
  • The workshop for MIS has been completed in Sept. 2005.
  • The community level baseline study has been completed in the month of Oct 2005.
  • The 2nd Phase baseline study for family level is under progress.
  • This website "Paswanchal Vikas" has been initiated on 25th Nov. 2005.
